Baby and Me2 Baby and Me3

Take this time to connect with your baby through breath and movement. Baby and me is geared towards "pre-mobile" infants but toddlers are welcome, as well. Parents will sing songs, dance, and play through yoga poses with baby. Babies will participate in their own mini practice with guidance from parents. Pack up the diaper bag and join Michelle for this playful yoga practice!

Preschool Yoga with Molly

These pre-school aged classes are designed to engage your child's senses and imagination while developing their self-awareness. I teach yoga through play using stories, games, and songs. I offer basic yoga poses with modifications appropriate for children ages 2 to 5. Each child will be challenged while developing their own inner sense of accomplishment. Every class ends with guided mindfulness exercises.

If you Google "mindfulness and yoga with children" you can read about various studies which demonstrate that yoga and meditation reduce the symptoms of anxiety and depression, promote the ability to focus, and improve overall cognitive performance. Wow!

Shannon's classes focus on yoga-centered games, poses, and breathing to help school-aged kids and the adults in their lives connect to themselves and each other in a way that leaves everyone with a feeling of calm energy. What a great way to ease into the evening routine of homework, dinner, bath time, and bedtime! Classes both begin and conclude with brief meditation periods.

Yoga for Tweens and Teens

teen yoga teen yoga

Yoga is a fun way to develop important skills in a supportive, non-competitive environment. Teens often feel pressure at school socially, as well as academically, in addition to the pressure of competitive organized sports. It is easy for girls and boys to become overly self-critical, and lose confidence in themselves as they grow and change. Yoga is a great remedy; there is no judgment in a yoga class about how a pose is done or how a game is played.

This is class is designed to help teens gain physical strength, flexibility, confidence and stress management skills. Teens will learn the importance of deep and regular breathing, while practicing balancing poses, forward and side bends, twists and inversions.

Most of all teens will have fun, listen to cool music, play with their friends, and develop lifelong foundational skills.

Dance Yoga for Teens and Adults, aka Rhythm & Yoga

dance yoga dance yoga

Dance yoga incorporates yoga and graceful dance movements to create a fluid and fun flow that will move your body, and refresh and restore your mind. This hybrid yoga style was created from my love of dance and yoga and the belief that the fusion of the two could open the heart and body. Through the use of creative movement, music, breath and asana this class will teach rhythm of the spirit and movement with intention.
